Hessian Equations and special concavity on Riemannian manifolds

Abstrakt: We will discuss the problem of solvability of the real Hessian quotient equation on Riemannian manifolds. The difficulty concerns obtaining C2 estimate for this equation which is known to be one of few open problems related to hessian type equations. We will provide the solution in real dimension two and discuss some special properties of quotient operators. This is work in progress in collaboration with Pengfei Guan.
